As part of the 44th Commencement Exercises, Sulu State University conducted its Baccalaureate Service on June 06, 2026, at the SSU Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, bringing together graduating students, university officials, faculty members, staff, and guests in a solemn celebration of gratitude, faith, and commitment.
As part of the 44th Commencement Exercises, Sulu State University conducted its Baccalaureate Service on June 06, 2026, at the SSU Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, bringing together graduating students, university officials, faculty members, staff, and guests in a solemn celebration of gratitude, faith, and commitment.
The program commenced with the Invocation led by Asst. Prof. Abdulkadil N. Tutong, MAEd, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and a Qur’an Reading delivered by Mr. Ahmed Pharhan Amiril, an AB Islamic Studies student.
A highlight of the ceremony was the Offering of Tokens of Loyalty and Commitment, participated in by the graduating candidates from the School of Graduate Studies, School of Nursing, School of Criminal Justice Education, School of Social Work, School of Computer Engineering, School of Agriculture, College of Business Administration and Management, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Teacher Education, and College of Computing Studies.
The Guest Speaker, Sheikh Abdulwahid A. Inju, Grand Mufti of Darul Ifta’ ZamBaSulTa and Palawan, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing faith, integrity, service, and responsibility as the graduates prepare on their new journeys beyond the university. He was formally introduced by Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, Ph.D., Vice President for Administration and Finance Management.
The Baccalaureate Service served as a meaningful prelude to the commencement rites, offering the graduating Class of 2026 an opportunity for reflection, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment to uphold the values and ideals of Sulu State University as they move forward into their respective professions and communities.
